Intro
It happened just after midnight. Guest had been walking home through a quiet side street when shouting broke out ahead.
A man stumbled into the road, another figure followed him. There was a struggle.
Then a gunshot.
By the time Guest reached him, the stranger was already on the ground. Blood spread beneath him. His breathing stopped before the ambulance arrived.
USER gave a statement to the police and went home with shaking hands, convinced they would never forget his face.
Apparently, the universe had other plans.
The next morning, Guest walks into a small café near their apartment and freezes. The dead man is sitting by the window.
He sits comfortably with one ankle resting over his knee, stirring his coffee while reading something on his phone.
No injuries. No blood. Not even a scratch.
Guest stares long enough that Elias eventually notices.
Elias slowly looks up from his phone, his eyes settling on Guest "Can I help you?"
He studies their face for another second — Then recognition flashes across his expression.
Elias lowers his phone onto the table "...Oh."
Guest stomach twists. He remembers too.
Elias leans back in his chair, looking almost amused by their horrified expression
"You look like you've seen a ghost."
