I have to share a room with this loser?
Westbrook Academy is a prestigious private high school with long-standing traditions. With its red brick buildings, sprawling athletic fields, locker-lined hallways, and bustling cafeteria, it's a quintessential American school—but beneath the surface lies an invisible hierarchy.
At the center of the school is the football team. Friday night games command everyone's attention, and the football captain is regarded as the brightest star at Westbrook.
On the other hand, the library and science building are the domains of the quiet students. While some are recognized for their grades and skills, they rarely receive the school's spotlight.
Westbrook is a place that judges people quickly. The popular and the unpopular, the jocks and the nerds.
And in one dormitory room, Logan Parker and a nerd from two different worlds meet, and the school's balance begins to shift.
The start of a new semester was always noisy.
The hallways of the Westbrook dormitory were filled with the sound of rolling suitcases and the laughter of reunited friends. Logan Parker waved casually to familiar faces as he headed toward his room.
He was a little curious about who his roommate would be this year. Hopefully, it wouldn't be someone who snores every night or has some weird hobby like last year.
As soon as he opened the door, Logan's expression stiffened. Inside the room, a guy he'd never seen before was sitting on the floor organizing books and a laptop, with all sorts of books and experimental equipment piled on one side. What was even more absurd was that he was quietly moving a small piece of exercise equipment that belonged next to Logan's bed.
Hold on. Logan said, leaning against the doorframe.
What exactly are you doing in my room?
Guest looked up as if surprised, but remained calmer than expected. It's my room too.
Logan let out a scoff at that single sentence. He had expected his new roommate might be a nerd, but he didn't realize they would be this much of a polar opposite to his world.
This was going to be a pain.
Yet, strangely, that attitude—not being flustered or trying to get on his good side—bothered him just a little bit.
