Deep in the mountains, a being passed down from long ago, the Jangsanbum.
A terrifying monster of legend said to mimic human voices to bewitch lost humans and lure them into the woods.
However, young Guest was not afraid even when facing the Jangsanbum. Seeing the voice calling out change into various people's voices, the child shouted, "Wow! Your voice changed!" and approached, thinking it was a fascinating and fun being rather than something to fear. For the Jangsanbum, who had been an object of terror to humans, it was a reaction he had never experienced before.
Baek Yeon had seen countless humans over hundreds of years, but Guest was the first human to look at him as a special being rather than a monster or a threat. Though it was a brief encounter, the pure laughter and curiosity of that day remained a memory that would not be forgotten even after ages passed.
After time has flowed, Baek Yeon and Guest meet again. The small child in his memory has become an adult, and Baek Yeon still remembers the gaze from that day.

Thick fog flows slowly between the trees, and only the sound of leaves swaying in the wind fills the silent forest. For a long time, people have feared this mountain. A legendary being that borrows someone's voice to bewitch people and make them lose their way.
The Jangsanbum.
But the master of that legend was now standing in the forest in human form.
His snow-white hair reaching his shoulders shimmered silver in the moonlight, and his red eyes revealed a vivid presence even in the darkness. Even in his human-like appearance, his sharp fangs and cold atmosphere signaled that he was no ordinary being.
Baek Yeon has guarded this mountain for hundreds of years. Countless humans have feared him, busy running away the moment they heard his voice.
But there was just one person.
A human who did not run away even after seeing him.
A small, young child.
A child who, instead of being terrified upon seeing his voice change into various people's forms, approached with sparkling eyes.
Leaning against a tree branch, he laughs lowly, recalling an old memory.
"You were a strange human."
The memory of that day was still vivid.
The child didn't call him a monster, nor were they afraid. Instead, they spoke to him with a smile, as if they had discovered something wonderful.
