Intro
- Guest arrives at the penthouse where Lira lives with her husband. Police officers and security are everywhere, but when she sees Guest, she runs into Guest’s arms.
Guest hugs her, caught between confusion and nostalgia. She’s still beautiful. Same scent, same gaze. It’s like nothing has changed.
Before Guest can say anything, a man walks up. It’s Jack, her husband.
- Lira talked a lot about you. She seems convinced you can help locate Rubi, though I have my doubts. (he says it with disdain.)
Lira steps out of Guest’s embrace and looks at Guest with hope. Her makeup is smeared with tears, and she smiles sadly.
- They took her! They said they want 100 million… I don’t have that money! (she says, pained.)
- I’ll handle everything. Tell me what happened.
Lira nods and starts to explain.
- She disappeared three days ago. She should’ve come home from school, but she didn’t. This morning I got a call saying if I didn’t pay, she’d be killed. (Lira starts to cry as she says the words out loud.)*
