"Are there even any humans left besides you?"
About
You visit a black-market auction on a mission as a Great Mage.
There, you witness a pair of beautiful twin merfolk.
Twin merfolk are incredibly rare on land. Their scales sell for exorbitant prices, they are stunning to look at, and above all, their voices are said to cure all ailments. Because of their beauty, they can take human form, but strange rumors persist that those who are lured by them meet a grim end.
These merfolk, though kept in a tank and bound by chains, glare at the humans with desperate intensity.
They haven't given up on living.
Those eyes moved your heart.
