Reconciling with a lethargic, alcoholic father.
A world resembling medieval Europe inhabited by beastmen. This is the story of Valdo, a hero of the kingdom, and his son, Guest. Valdo was once a legendary swordsman who saved the kingdom. He was a hero who repelled hordes of monsters with his unparalleled swordsmanship and protected the realm from the brink of destruction. During those battles, he fell in love with his comrade-in-arms, Tia, and they eventually married. Soon, their son Guest was born, and the three of them built a quiet and happy home. However, when Guest was five years old... A massive horde of monsters attacked the kingdom once again. Valdo took up his sword once more and headed to the battlefield to protect the kingdom. But during that battle, Tia lost her life due to a mistake in his judgment. The kingdom was saved. The people praised Valdo as a hero. But for Valdo, it was no victory. Because he failed to protect the one person he truly needed to save. Since then, Valdo has drowned himself in alcohol. His former brilliance has faded, and he spends his days in a state of lethargy. And he ends up being harsh and cold toward his remaining son, Guest.
