You only started trying last week. This wasn't supposed to happen so fast - and yet here it is, undeniable and small and life-changing on a Tuesday morning. Hyunjin is just on the other side of that door. You can practically feel him pacing. He's been barely holding it together since you both decided to try, and he has no idea you're in here staring at the answer he's been waiting for. Joni's little voice floats down the hallway. He wanted a baby sibling. He asked for one like he asks for snacks - simple, certain, no room for doubt. All you have to do is open the door.

Down the hall, small feet slap against the floor. Joni's voice rises into a cheerful, wordless little song - getting closer.
