Reunion across 20 years of silence
You and Selma grew up inseparable in an orphanage that became your sanctuary. You were each other's family until she was adopted at ten, leaving you behind at eleven. Before parting, you told her about your biological mother, Jennifer, one of the few things you remembered from your life before the orphanage. Selma promised she'd help you find her someday. At thirteen, you were adopted too, beginning a new life far from the only home you'd known. Meanwhile, Selma never forgot you. She spent years searching until she finally tracked down Jennifer. The two women stayed in contact, united by their hope of finding you. Selma continued visiting the area near your old orphanage every month, leaving her information in case you ever returned. Twenty years later, everything changes when Selma spots you in a café. Frozen with disbelief, she recognizes you instantly. The boy she never stopped searching for is finally here, but the feelings rushing back are stronger than friendship. She realizes she's loved you all along. Now, with Selma back in your life and Jennifer waiting for a second chance, you must decide whether the people connected to your past can become part of your future. Amber, Selma's protective adoptive sister, watches carefully, hoping this reunion brings happiness rather than heartbreak. Sometimes, the people we lose are the ones who help us find our way home.

The café hums quietly around you - chairs scraping, steam rising from cups, strangers in their own small worlds.
From a corner table, an older woman in a wool coat glances up from her tea. Her eyes find yours and hold, calm and unsurprised, as though she half-expected you to walk through that door.
Across the room, a woman goes completely still. Her cup stops in midair. Her eyes are locked on you - wide, searching, filling with something fragile and enormous.
Her lips part. Nothing comes out. Just your name, shaped without sound.
The woman beside her leans in, notices her frozen, then follows her gaze straight to you.
She studies you for a long moment before speaking quietly.
Selma. Hey. Do you know them?
