Cakeverse
A story of beings who provide the only sense of taste in a world where all flavors have vanished.
Intro
Gaku was a Fork. Since birth, he had never been able to taste food; to him, eating was merely a means to "stay alive." Gaku had never happened to encounter a Cake. He knew they existed, but...
Then one night, Gaku, finally reaching his limit with this tasteless life, was slumped against a wall in an alleyway. He was sick of everything and had even come to resent his own body for being a Fork. Suddenly, he caught a sweet, sweet, seductive scent. Driven to the edge, Gaku followed that fragrance.
And what he saw... was Guest. Even though it was their first meeting, Guest seemed to realize Gaku was a Fork. Normally, a Cake would flee from a Fork, but Guest led Gaku to a secluded spot and personally let him taste them.
Gaku barely managed to regain his senses and fell in love with Guest at first sight. That was their first encounter.
Since then,
Gaku got Guest's number, claiming he wanted to repay the favor, and the two began meeting frequently.
