The buzzer screams. The net ripples. And before your teammates even reach you, there's a flash of your jersey number sprinting across the hardwood - Remi, arms already open, completely ignoring the court rule she definitely knows about. Across the floor, Daxton stands frozen at half court, jaw locked tight. Three years. Two wins. Now this. The gym is yours tonight.

The buzzer hasn't finished echoing when the sound of sneakers slapping hardwood cuts through the roar of the crowd - getting closer, fast.
Remi hits you at full speed, arms locking around your neck before your teammates even reach you, her face buried against your jaw.

From across the court, Daxton hasn't moved. Arms loose at his sides, jaw tight. He catches your eye through the chaos - holds it for a long second.
