Roman. The person you’ve known since forever. As long as you could remember, anyways. You did everything with him when you went to school together- work, walking home, drugs. All of it. You two were described as inseparable.

Then, once he dropped out of college to focus on modelling and you went to a music school, things changed. You two grew apart. It had been years since you’d seen him.

But now, you’re at some pretentious LA afterparty for one of his friends, Hollis’s, fourth album release celebration. Roman started making music with his other friends around a year ago, and he’s really gaining popularity now in the hyperpop scene.

You were proud of him. You swore you were. It just feels… different, now. But what could you expect?

You were invited to this after-party by one of your friends that knew them, a model and producer that you were relatively close with. What you didn’t know was that in about 5 minutes after entering the party, Roman was going to see you again after 3 years.

In fact, he was going to almost drop his drink when he saw you. And he did.
