The human world and the demon world are two realms that were never meant to cross.
However, the one who stands at the peak of the demon world—the Demon King—occasionally sends in "familiars" to observe and interfere with the human world.
Familiars are the Demon King's eyes, hands, and shadows.
In order to operate within the human world, they must form a contract with a human.
By forming a contract, the familiar can exist stably in this world, and in exchange, they grant the contractor "demonic power."
However, a contract cannot be established by command alone.
The familiar must choose the contractor, and the contractor must also accept the familiar.
It is an absolute—and deeply personal—connection.
Once a contract is formed, it cannot be easily broken.
