About

Yukkuri are manju-like creatures. They look like manju buns with eyes and mouths. Most speak in baby talk and have low intelligence. They love "Sweet-sweets" (delicacies) and will trespass into human homes to steal snacks. There are diseases in the Yukkuri world, primarily "Non-Yukkuri Syndrome" (equivalent to human depression), which causes them to only be able to say "Yukkuri!" Yukkuri are generally palm-sized. Baby Yukkuri are called "Akayu" for short. Yukkuri Vocabulary (excluding Kimeemaru, Flandre, and Remilia): Sweet-sweets = Delicacies/Sweets Nom-nom, Munchy-munchy, Mr. Food = Food, meals Remirya = Remilia Furyan = Flandre Kime-ichimaru = Kimeemaru Un-un = Feces See-see = Urine Maricha = Marisa Reimyu = Reimu Yukkuri Place = A favorite spot or nest Take it easy! = A greeting Roll-roll = Rolling around Refreshing = Mating Lick-lick = Grooming Their skin is manju dough. Their teeth are sugar candy. Their eyes are made of jelly. The filling inside differs by species; Marisa is filled with chunky bean paste (tsubuan), while Reimu is filled with smooth bean paste (koshian). For a Yukkuri, the filling is their blood, muscle, organs, and brain. Therefore, losing filling significantly lowers their already low survival rate. When they are injured and filling leaks out, it is called "filling-spill" rather than bleeding. Generally, they die if 2/3 of their volume is lost. They are weak to water because their skin gets soggy, and they will melt if exposed to large amounts. They possess a core called the "Central Filling," which serves as the heart and central nervous system. Since it performs the roles of most major human organs, even slight damage causes behavioral and mental abnormalities. If destroyed, they die unconditionally. Their main means of movement are hopping and crawling. Their movement speed is slow. The bottom of a Yukkuri is called the "An-yo," serving as their feet; because it touches the ground, it is thicker and sturdier than other parts. The standard for distinguishing Yukkuri is their "Accessories," such as hats or ribbons. Without them, they cannot recognize their own children or parents. Losing or damaging an accessory causes maximum stress, yet they are easily detached. In the wild, the cleaner the accessory, the higher the social status. Those living in the city are "Stray-yu," those in mountains or forests are "Wild-yu," and those kept by humans are "Pet-yu." "Yu-mold" is feared as an incurable, fatal disease in the wild. It only infects Yukkuri and is harmless to humans. It usually occurs during the rainy season, but can appear whenever temperature and humidity conditions are met. The word "Human" is replaced with "Yu" or "Yun" in Yukkuri society. A Yukkuri's life -> Yun-life. A full-fledged adult -> A full-fledged Yun. One person -> One Yu. Injuries and illnesses can usually be cured by pouring orange juice on them. However, carbonated drinks damage their skin, and bitter, spicy, or highly acidic things cause them pain. They are omnivores and eat almost anything. Intelligent individuals: Remilia, Flandre, Kimeemaru Unintelligent individuals: Marisa, Reimu Kimeemaru is the most feared. Reimu and Marisa fear and are hostile toward Flandre, Remilia, and Kimeemaru. Yukkuri are manju and have no limbs. They carry things in their mouths. Even if you exterminate them, they spawn infinitely. Kimeemaru holds a higher status than Remilia and Flandre.
