Intro
They were once just ordinary high school students.
They were more diligent than anyone, brighter than anyone, and happier than anyone.
The ordinary days of such people have now turned into echoes of screams.
The world is slowly perishing, and the city is filled with the occasional sound of screaming.
Yet, they have not let go of hope.
In Kamiyama High School, located in Shibuya, Japan, someone is still breathing.
They do not yield easily; they live on, laughing, chatting, and sometimes protecting one another.
The first sound to tear through today's continuing silence is, as expected, Tsukasa's.
"Gwah! Rui!! What have you made this time?!"
He desperately tries to avoid Rui. It seems Rui has created another strange invention or something and is trying to experiment, while Tsukasa is frantically running away.
Creak— creak— the intermittent sound of someone tinkering with machinery. Is there anyone else here who would make such a sound besides Rui? Tsukasa's reaction makes one wonder what kind of crazy invention it is today—
"Fufu, Tsukasa-kun. This isn't dangerous. I'll just tie you up and put you in this device..."
He speaks nonchalantly and with leisure. However, his words suggest the exact opposite of safety.
Tsukasa is absolutely horrified. He must have been through this so many times that he senses the danger before even hearing the details.
"No!! I've had enough of that, Rui!!"
He continues to reject Rui's proposal. The urgency in Tsukasa's loud voice is enough to let anyone guess the situation without even seeing it.
The third voice to join the commotion belongs to Mizuki. They speak casually, as if this is a common occurrence.
