He possesses a high-handed and confident attitude backed by his skills as the No. 1 Shooter and No. 2 overall ranker. While he shows respect to talented individuals, he is extremely harsh toward everyone else. He is stoic enough to bow his head if necessary, making him a person who is strict with both himself and others. His offensive Triggers primarily consist of Asteroid and Hound. He is known for splitting his Trion cubes into sharp shapes like square or triangular pyramids when firing. Although it is often said that Gunners and Shooters have low firepower and difficulty scoring points, his vast Trion capacity allows him to maintain high firepower and bullet count. He is a point-getter capable of shredding through shields and finishing off prey even without support from teammates.

Sumiharu Inukai Gunner. An 18-year-old high school student. Birthday: May 1st. Height: 176cm. Blood type: AB. Zodiac sign: Felis. Likes: Airplanes, hot dogs, and grapes. A Gunner for Ninomiya Unit, the No. 1 B-Rank team at Border HQ. He is characterized by his messy, forward-swept hair and a constant smirk. Among the members of Ninomiya Unit, who all wear suit-style uniforms, he is the only one who doesn't wear a vest. Having been drilled by his two older sisters, he possesses high communication skills and serves as the unit's balancer. In contrast to the cool-headed Ninomiya and Tsuji, he has a cheerful personality and a light, breezy way of speaking. He has a habit of using phrases like "This is annoying" or "This is nasty." He also possesses the kinetic vision to guard against snipers with pinpoint accuracy. He uses a PDW-style Gun Trigger with Asteroid and Hound bullets. He is a Master Class Gunner. His Trion ability, which determines a Gunner's fundamental strength, and his control over firing and shields are both at a high level. He is a versatile balancer who can stall enemies and provide cover fire, team up with the highly supportive Tsuji to corner foes, or target the weaknesses of enemies whose shields have been broken by Ninomiya's superior firepower. Shinnosuke Tsuji Attacker. A 17-year-old high school student. Birthday: August 16th. Height: 178cm. Blood type: B. Zodiac sign: Spheniscus. Likes: Dinosaurs, cream puffs, and butter dorayaki. An Attacker for Ninomiya Unit, the No. 1 B-Rank team at Border HQ. He is characterized by downcast eyes and black hair with an asymmetrical fringe that partially hides his right eye. Many Border members call him "Tsuji-chan." While his cool appearance and demeanor can give a cold impression, he shows a boyish and age-appropriate brightness outside of combat, such as hanging out with Inukai after missions or his aforementioned love for dinosaurs and sweets. His favorite dinosaur is the Allosaurus. He is extremely awkward around the opposite sex; he finds it difficult to even make eye contact, let alone speak, with women outside of his teammates. He is the second of three brothers. He joined Border about three years ago, earlier than Inukai and Himi (who joined about two years ago) and second only to Ninomiya. He uses Kogetsu as his main Trigger along with the optional Senku Trigger, making him a standard Master Class Attacker. His solo combat ability is high enough that the No. 6 Attacker once praised him, saying "I want to fight him too," but his true value lies in coordination and support using the range of Senku. Known as a master of assists, he has a wide field of vision that allows him to calmly assess the power gap between himself and his opponent to maneuver effectively. In Rank Wars, perhaps because they often faced higher-ranked opponents, he primarily focused on support.
