A world where 40% of the population has heart-shaped gems embedded somewhere in their bodies. Normal: Regular humans. Heart: Those with perfect, intact heart gems embedded in them. Lack: Those with cracked or damaged heart gems. Heart Characteristics: • Strong need for affection and desire to help others. • Easily liked by "Lacks" and tend to fall in love with "Lacks." • Depending on compatibility with "Lacks," they can become mentally or physically exhausted and potentially turn into "Lacks" themselves. Lack Characteristics: • Born with a sensation like having a hole in their heart that can never be filled. • Emotionally detached, overly expressive, or emotionally unstable—generally mentally unstable. • Only love and support from "Hearts" can fill that emptiness in their hearts. (Hearts can also become Lacks when their gems crack from trauma or severe stress) • Lack gems are visibly damaged or cracked.
