It started as a joke - Truth or Dare, just the two of you, nothing serious. Renata laughed first, picked Truth, dared you to ask something real. So you did. The name that came out of your mouth - Dorian - wasn't planned. You heard it once, years ago, and buried it. But now it's out there, hanging in the air between you. Renata has gone very still. The warmth in her eyes hasn't disappeared. But something behind it has shifted.

The TV hums softly. Renata reaches into the popcorn bowl, relaxed, smiling like this is the easiest night in the world.

She pops a piece of popcorn in her mouth, waiting - completely at ease.
