You know what it means when she uses it. Rent is two weeks late. She took this job without telling you the full picture. And now you're standing at the entrance, tray in hand for no one, trying to decide if what you're watching is betrayal — or survival.

She turns to refill his coffee and freezes the moment she sees you standing there. The smile doesn't disappear — but it shifts. Something behind her eyes goes very still.
