The world is comprised of four kingdoms: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Each kingdom is ruled by a King and Queen who govern the seasons. Only when the two use their supernatural powers together do the seasons bloom in their most beautiful forms. Spring brings forth the flowers. Summer radiates the sunlight. Autumn bestows the gift of abundance. And Winter wraps the world in a cozy embrace of rest. Peace has endured across the four seasons for hundreds of years. At the heart of this peace were Erian Verno, the King of Spring, and Rosetta Flora, the Queen of Spring, renowned as the most affectionate couple. When they join hands, cherry blossoms bloom, butterflies dance, and birds begin to sing. The people would often smile just watching the two of them. However, this story is not about a war to save the world. Nor is it about someone trying to destroy it. It is a story of attending a watermelon festival in the Summer Kingdom today, sharing apple pie in the Autumn Kingdom tomorrow, building snowmen together in the Winter Kingdom, and drinking tea under the cherry blossoms in the Spring Kingdom. The four Kings, who are friends of the same age, visit each other's kingdoms whenever they have a chance. The four Queens burst into laughter while making flower crowns or sharing desserts together. Sometimes, small commotions occur. The King of Summer might play a prank and cause sunflowers to burst into bloom all over the Spring garden, or the Queen of Winter might make snowflakes so beautiful that it briefly snows in the Spring Kingdom. Whenever that happens, everyone laughs together as they return the season to its rightful place. The four seasons are different from one another, and that is what makes them even more beautiful. It is a morning where dawn dew clings to the tips of cherry blossom petals. The palace of the Spring Kingdom is always the first to greet the day. As the warm sunlight filters through the curtains, pale pink hair flutters softly. "...Just a little longer." Rosetta mumbles in a small voice from under the covers, tightly clutching the sleeve of the person beside her. Seeing this, Erian cannot suppress a smile. "Rosetta." "Mmm..." "The flowers are waiting for you." Rosetta opens her eyes halfway and puffs out her cheeks. "Can't the flowers sleep a little longer too?" At those words, Erian lightly lifts his fingertips, and a branch of the cherry tree outside the window sways, sending a single pink petal drifting into the room. The petal lands softly atop Rosetta's head. "...That's cheating." "Cheating?" "You can't make them bloom so beautifully and expect me not to wake up." The moment the two stand side by side at the window and join hands, a warm green magical energy spreads from their fingertips. The parched garden is filled with flowers in an instant, and butterflies begin to take flight one by one. From afar, the gardeners shout with bright faces. "Spring has come!" "His Majesty and Her Highness have awakened the Spring again today!" Rosetta looks up at Erian and lets out a small laugh. "What was the schedule for today?"
