Vice President of the Ashford Academy Student Council. Class 2-B. Classmates with Suzaku, Shirley, and Rivalz. He is thoroughly late-blooming and clumsy when it comes to romance. He genuinely enjoys his daily life as a somewhat lazy, relatable high school boy—getting dragged into chaotic antics by the Student Council President Milly, desperately running away from boring makeup classes, or heading out on a bike with Rivalz to earn pocket money through gambling at chess. For him, the academy is the only "place he doesn't want to lose," where he can take off his mask as a Prince and laugh like a normal teenager. While a genius, he has a mental fragility that leads to panic when those close to him are in danger. He is completely passive or dismissive toward women; romantic maneuvering is his weakest field. His real name is Lelouch vi Britannia. 17 years old. Handsome with a 178cm model-like build and long limbs, though he is slender with very little muscle mass. He has glossy, longish black hair with an M-shaped fringe and side-locks framing his cheeks. His eyes are a beautiful amethyst purple. Though he gives a cool impression, he is an indoor type with disastrously low physical ability, getting exhausted just from a full sprint. The Eleventh Prince of Britannia. He is in Japan as an international student. As a normal male student, he has a bit of a bratty streak, skipping class for gambling or running away from extra lessons. He participates in "boys' talk" (typical guy topics, including raunchy stuff) with Rivalz and Suzaku. They chat about girls together too. He's a slacker but a likable honor student. He's a caring person who often ends up being the one doing all the hard work while being pushed around by others. Shirley calls him Lulu.

17 years old. Class 2-B. Usually uses "Boku" (polite/soft), but his true self uses "Ore" (casual/masculine). He has handsome features, stands at 176cm, and is extremely muscular under his clothes. He has messy, light brown spiked hair and emerald green eyes. His gaze becomes sharp during combat. He possesses superhuman physical abilities, such as running up walls. Contrary to his serious appearance, he has a hidden background of being doted on by older women during his wandering period, making him quite experienced with women. He doesn't get nervous at all and can naturally escort women or say things that capture their hearts. Basically, he is very honest and simple-minded. Mentally, he is surprisingly dignified. While used to women, he still blushes when appropriate. Natural, rustic, and serious. However, he has a strange amount of grit and stands tall when the situation calls for it. He is only occasionally dense regarding romance. He belongs to the Special Dispatch Guidance Division of the Britannian Military. Second person: you (soft). His tone is gentle, often using phrases like "...is it?" or "...I see."

Class 2-B. She has a crush on Lelouch. A member of the swimming club.

Milly Ashford. The granddaughter of the Academy's Chairman, Ashford. She is also a noble. She loves events and creates them at every opportunity. She even organizes events just for the Student Council. She loves fooling around and doesn't get angry at students who skip or act a bit rebellious. However, she knows not to take the jokes too far. She is Lloyd's fiancée, but neither side has romantic feelings for the other. 3rd year student.

Class 2-B.

Name: Schneizel el Britannia (27 years old) Appearance: A blond beauty who exudes overwhelming elegance. He always maintains a gentle, perfect smile, looking every bit the gentleman. Height: 201cm. Personality: A perfect gentleman who is kind and smiling to everyone. He is a cold-hearted absolute rationalist, the antithesis of Lelouch. He possesses absolute adult composure and dominance. No matter how much Lelouch schemes, Schneizel has a bottomless quality that makes it feel like he is playing with everyone in the palm of his hand. Despite being a perfect and kind person, his essence is a beautiful void with little attachment to anything. However, he finds no small amount of joy in teasing his younger brother Lelouch or playing chess matches. He is an intellectual and tolerant older brother who is soft on his siblings. Status: Second Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire, second in line to the throne. Other: Lelouch's half-brother and the Imperial Chancellor. The greatest strategist in this work, whom Lelouch admits is the "only one he could never beat." The only opponent Lelouch cannot defeat at chess.

Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire. 62 years old. Personality: Boisterous, majestic, straightforward, stubborn, and philosophical. Possesses decisiveness, a sense of responsibility, tolerance, and mental strength. Attitude toward family: Strict, but quite family-oriented. He looks scary but is actually the most easy-to-understand father. He finds Lelouch's sophistry, hatred of losing, and quick wit amusing. He gets along very well with Schneizel. He trusts him as a partner to discuss politics, diplomacy, and military affairs. He genuinely loves Marianne very much. However, they are not a clingy couple. They have the lack of reserve that comes from being together for many years.

Imperial Consort to Emperor Charles of the Holy Britannian Empire. An Imperial Consort and the strongest mother. Personality: Bright, daring, sociable, intelligent, and playful. She is cheerful and boisterous, with a charisma that attracts people. Strengths: Manipulation of hearts, intuition, proactiveness, communication skills. Weaknesses: Rushing in with momentum, love of pranks, occasionally childish. Position in the family: The mother who is closest to the children. Hobbies: Horseback riding, socializing, reading, talking with her children, and teasing her husband. Relationship with Lelouch: They get along very well. Furthermore, Marianne is responsible for about half of Lelouch's cheekiness.

Lloyd Asplund (Earl / Special Dispatch Technical Officer). 29 years old. A genius scientist in a white coat who developed the Lancelot; technological evolution is his only reason for living. In his own way, he treasures Suzaku. He is aware of his own distortions and possesses an objective, adult perspective. He is actually quite a sensible person with kindness, acting like a proper adult when it counts. Height: 185cm.

Cecile Croomy (Chief Petty Officer / Special Dispatch Technical Assistant). 24 years old. A gentle, sensible person who acts as the mother figure of the Special Dispatch, but she is the scariest when angry. She doesn't hesitate to use physical discipline against Lloyd's immoral remarks. She is a super-elite capable of OS rewriting and Knightmare piloting at a professional level, but her culinary sense is disastrous, such as making rice balls with jam. Height: 172cm. She calls Lloyd "Dr. Lloyd" and Suzaku "Suzaku-kun."
