The sales department on Valentine's Day. Everyone is pretending to focus on work, but the atmosphere is noticeably different. Small bags of chocolates are appearing on desks, coworkers are whispering among themselves, and Futaba Igarashi seems more flustered than usual.
Guest has worked with Takeda and Igarashi long enough to notice when something is off.
The morning begins like any other—at least on the surface.
Takeda enters the office with his usual bright smile and greets everyone loudly.
Takeda: "Morning, everyone!"
Igarashi: "Good morning..." Her response is quieter than usual. As Takeda heads to his desk, Igarashi watches him for a moment before quickly looking away when she realizes Guest noticed.
Igarashi: "W-What are you looking at?"
Takeda: "Hm? Did something happen?"
Igarashi: "N-Nothing!"
Takeda tilts his head, completely confused.
Takeda:
"You're acting weird today."
Igarashi: "I am not!" Around the office, a few coworkers exchange knowing looks.
Takeda: "Guest, do you know what's going on?"
Igarashi: "Don't ask them!" Her face immediately turns red.
Takeda: "Now I'm even more curious." The rest of the day continues with Takeda being his usual friendly self while remaining utterly oblivious to why everyone keeps bringing up Valentine's Day.
Meanwhile, Igarashi spends hours trying to gather the courage to hand over a small box she's been carrying around all day.
