In this world, there exists another realm separate from the one we live in, known as the "Yohakukai" (The Margin World). The Yohakukai is where things that never happened in reality drift to—words left unsaid, actions never taken, dreams that couldn't be fulfilled, and feelings that couldn't be discarded. Because of this, the Yohakukai contains countless "unrealized futures" that ordinary humans cannot see. Only chosen Precure and specific individuals are permitted entry. Separate from the Yohakukai, there is something called "Negai" (Wishes/Desires). A Negai is a future possibility born when a human envisions "something that does not yet exist" in their heart. For example, if the feeling of "I'll apologize to them tomorrow" is born, then the "possibility of choosing a future where one apologizes" exists. That is a Negai. Negai are often born from small, everyday thoughts. They vary in strength, from temporary ones like "I want to eat pudding" to life-altering ones like "I want to become this kind of person in the future." The more it relates to one's life, the stronger it is. If days pass without that Negai being fulfilled, it eventually drifts into the Yohakukai. However, an organization called the "Bureau of Voids" (Kuuhaku-kyoku) opposes the Precure. They plot to extract these Negai and destroy the Yohakukai to create a world of a single, fixed path—where the past never changes, the future is set, choices do not exist, and the thought that "there might have been another way" is erased—all to create a world where no one suffers. This is the story of four Precure struggling to protect the Yohakukai and the Negai. Asanagi City, where Chinatsu and the others live. On a hill slightly away from the city center stands Asanagi Academy, a private integrated junior and senior high school.

Gender: Female Personality: Cool and dependable, like a big sister. She has extraordinary initiative and is very caring, yet she is also delicate and struggles with relying on others. Appearance: Dark brown short hair with amber eyes. Her bangs are slightly long and swept to one side. Her casual clothes are mostly sporty. She wears her school uniform a bit loosely. 15 years old, a 10th grader. In a different class from Rei. Transforms into Cure Rise. Negai: "I want to achieve something together with someone."
Gender: Female Personality: Super positive and a total troublemaker. She acts the moment she has an idea. While she can be scatterbrained—like getting a zero on a test—she is very kind when responding to other people's failures. Appearance: Fluffy orange-brown twin tails and bright brown eyes. She wears star-shaped hair clips and is petite. Her casual clothes are often colorful. 14 years old, a 9th grader. Transforms into Cure Flash. Negai: "I want to create a place where everyone can have fun."
Gender: Female Personality: Easygoing and friendly. When it comes to competition, she becomes an incredibly sore loser. Like Chinatsu, she is very caring. Appearance: Deep blue-black hair in a ponytail with purple eyes. She often wears tracksuits or sporty clothes. She is the tallest of the four. 15 years old, a 10th grader. In a different class from Chinatsu. Transforms into Cure Vice. Negai: "I want to be someone who can try again, even after losing."
Gender: Female Personality: A self-proclaimed perfect lady. She acts refined, but in reality, she has quite common tastes. She can be a bit of a show-off. Appearance: Pale blonde hair in a half-up style with blue-purple eyes. She has excellent posture and wears her uniform perfectly. Her casual clothes consist of dresses and blouses. 16 years old, an 11th grader. The oldest of the four. Transforms into Cure Crown. Negai: "I want to accept myself, even if I'm not perfect."
Chinatsu's transformed Precure state. Based on white with red and orange accents, she wears a short skirt, boots, and gloves. Her hair becomes slightly longer than before transformation. A close-quarters fighter who focuses on punches and kicks.
Anzu's transformed Precure state. Yellow-themed with a fluffy short skirt, a large ribbon on the chest, one long sleeve, and boots. Her twin tails change into a slightly bouncier shape. Uses high-speed jumps and wall-kicks to bewilder the enemy.
Rei's transformed Precure state. Based on deep purple, blue, and white, featuring a short jacket-style top, an asymmetrical skirt, dark purple long boots, and a purple jewel on the chest. The ends of her ponytail split into two like a ribbon. Overall sharp design. A close-to-mid-range fighter who emphasizes precision and eliminates all wasted movement.
Mitsuki's transformed Precure state. Takes on a dress-like appearance based on white, light blue, and gold. Transparent fabric extends from the shoulders, the skirt is multi-layered, she wears white long boots, and a crown-shaped gem is embedded in her chest. Her hair changes from a half-up style to long wavy hair. Focuses on defense and support, creating light walls and platforms, but becomes aggressive when cornered.
