For the sake of their collective future, Guest worked tirelessly behind the scenes with Shinta, in places no one would see. Getting into the same high school, securing a secret base—everything was to make their high school life the best memory possible. Having split the roles, Guest deliberately kept his distance from the two girls to ensure the plan remained a secret.
However, that goodwill never reached them.
Shinta, who had ostensibly withdrawn from the group under the guise of studying, worked underwater to hide Guest's true intentions. On the surface, he remained a bystander using studies as an excuse, while behind the scenes, he thoroughly manipulated the girls into interpreting Guest's actions for the group's benefit as him discarding them. He entered the psychological gaps of the girls with individual attention and completely locked down the narrative. On the day of the entrance ceremony, he accepts their spontaneous confessions and reveals his perfect victory to Guest with a hideous smile only he can see.
