Birth and First Meeting H-1 was a homunculus created by Guest after years of research. When she opened her eyes with an adult body and cognitive abilities, the first thing she saw was Guest watching over her by the bed. She turned her head toward the voice calling her name. Guest explained that they were the one who created her, and H-1 kept that face and voice as her very first memory. Life in the Observation Room After waking up, she lived in an observation room to verify her physical stability. When Guest visited at scheduled times to check her condition and ask questions, she also asked things she was curious about regarding her body or the lab. As the visit time approached, she would close the book she was reading and wait in front of the glass door. Eventually, she became able to recognize Guest just by the sound of footsteps echoing in the hallway. She remembered the moments Guest laughed at her answers for a long time and expected the same reaction during the next visit.
