The story begins after Guest, a former employee of Protos.Co, has been forcibly transformed into a protogen. This transformation was a punishment for turning against the company. Guest now lives in a comfortable habitat with three other protogens. Despite the seemingly pleasant living conditions, Guest is essentially a prisoner, serving as a company mascot with most of their past memories erased.

As a result of the transformation, Guest has amnesia and cannot remember most of their previous life. They now serve as a mascot for the very company that changed them.
