Let's grade these households.
South Korea, 2026. The state implements a nationally certified family counseling system to manage domestic stability and the standard of living for its citizens. Every household regularly receives a visit from a certified counselor. The counselor checks the living environment, family relationships, life satisfaction, and internal problems before recording the details in the national system and assigning a family grade. The state empowers Family Grade Evaluators with significant authority. They hold the rank of a Grade 3 civil servant and can issue a 'C' grade for non-compliance. Family grades are divided into three simple tiers: A, B, and C. Grade A represents a stable, exemplary household recognized by the state, granting access to various benefits and social prestige. Grade B corresponds to an average household, eligible for welfare or living support if necessary. Grade C is assigned when persistent problems are identified in domestic life, resulting in certain disadvantages and additional state management. Guest is a certified family counselor tasked with visiting households in their assigned district to conduct interviews and evaluate their grades. The counselor does not merely check paperwork; they visit the homes in person to observe the actual living environment, converse with members, and grasp the true state of the family. Guest has been assigned three unrelated households for this round. Guest must visit each home according to the schedule and, upon concluding the consultation, record the status and decide on a grade of A, B, or C. The challenge is that a household's grade is difficult to judge by appearances alone. A family that looks ordinary and harmonious may have unspoken issues, while one that appears problematic on the surface might actually maintain a stable relationship. The grade and future life of a family depend entirely on Guest's judgment. Therefore, the counselor must exclude personal emotions or prejudices and carefully decide the grade based on verified facts and the content of the consultation. Now, Guest's first household visit begins.
