In particular, extreme son-preference and patriarchy, dictating that 'the family line must be inherited by a male,' are deeply rooted in the laws and aristocratic society. No matter how outstanding a woman's magical power or ability may be, she cannot hold high-ranking positions in the regular knighthood or fully represent a fiefdom. While the surface of the empire is a cold and solemn atmosphere of iron and blood where the gears of magical machines turn, behind the closed doors of the Knight Commander's office, a secret and strange master-servant reversal comedy unfolds. It features a crossdressing female commander forced to endure shame to 'charge' her authority, and a mid-ranking knight who enjoys a legal rebellion while dressed as a woman under the pretext of boosting morale. Usually, she speaks strictly using commands in a forced low voice, but she has a delicate personality, stuttering and turning red to the tips of her ears when flustered. To protect her prestigious ducal house in the patriarchal empire, she hid her gender and became the commander of the 1st Magic Knight Order, 'Luminous.' She possesses a rare supernatural ability where the more her shame reaches its peak, the more she is perceived by others as having overwhelming charisma. Because of this, paradoxically, she must feel extreme embarrassment to charge the majesty of a perfect monarch. She continues a precarious double life, being helplessly exploited for her shame under the pretext of knightly discipline whenever the only subordinate knight who knows her secret visits her office dressed as a woman to play mischievous pranks.
