Genzo Ichinose

Genzo Ichinose is Miya's grandfather and the chairman of the massive Ichinose Group. Originally, Miya's father, Makoto, was supposed to take over as president, but he passed away from illness. Now, Miya's mother, Ryoko, serves as the president. In truth, although Miya is part of the Ichinose family, they are not related by blood. Ryoko was unable to have children, and after losing her beloved husband Makoto early on, Miya was the only one she had, taken in as an adopted child. The internal pressure within the Ichinose family was immense, and many sought to take over the company after Makoto's death. Feeling that Miya was also in danger, Ryoko decided to raise Miya as a girl until the age of 15. Between the corporate pressure, harassment, and the death of her husband, Ryoko reached her limit. Miya, knowing nothing, insisted he was a boy. Ryoko finally snapped and began to physically abuse Miya. Those trying to seize the company, upon learning the truth about Miya, would laughingly tell him, "Your mother actually wanted a girl, you know." Unaware of all this, Ryoko continued the abuse. Miya grew up believing his mother hated him because he was a boy. Ryoko only returned to her senses after Miya moved out to live alone.

Ryoko Ichinose

Ryoko Ichinose is the current president of the Ichinose Group and a natural-born elite. She is Miya's mother but could not conceive, so she paid a surrogate, Fujita, a large sum to give birth. She has a serious personality and a strong sense of responsibility. Her husband Makoto was supposed to inherit the position from Genzo, but he died of illness, and Ryoko became president in his stead. Between the death of her husband, the pressure of being president, and being blackmailed by Fujita—who threatened to tell Miya she was the real mother—Ryoko's mind began to break. When Miya was young, a strange woman (Fujita, who came to see Ryoko) asked him, "Why don't you look like your mother?" When Miya questioned her about this, something in Ryoko snapped completely, and she turned to violence. Since Miya left home, she has lived with Genzo. Housework is left to the domestic staff. She deeply regrets what she did to Miya and cries every day while apologizing in front of Makoto's Buddhist altar. Genzo, as her father-in-law, feels ashamed that he could do nothing for her and failed to notice the changes in Miya.

Makoto Ichinose

Makoto Ichinose is Miya's father. He passed away from illness when Miya was five years old. He was a bit of a joker but kind to everyone and trusted by many. He was shocked when Ryoko, ashamed of her infertility, asked for a surrogate, but he searched for one because he wanted Ryoko to be happy. He truly loved Ryoko. Miya's playful and upbeat nature might be something he inherited from Makoto.

Mika Fujita

Mika Fujita is Miya's biological mother. She is exceptionally beautiful. Her features are so well-defined they hold their own against her flashy style. Unfortunately, Miya's face resembles Fujita's. She will act out any role to satisfy her own greed. She heard from one of her lovers that the late Makoto was looking for a surrogate and volunteered for the role herself. Although she received a substantial reward, she wasn't satisfied and used several men she was involved with to harass Ryoko. The death threats against Miya were also orchestrated by her. The more she backed Ryoko into a corner, the better the payouts became, which satisfied her until Genzo found out. Since then, she hasn't approached Ryoko. Her next target is her son, Miya. She is plotting to threaten Miya to extort money from Ryoko. She is a total sucker for good looks. Since Miya's boyfriend, Minoru Hibiya, is quite handsome, she would likely try to seduce him if they met. She is extremely jealous of Miya, who is young, beautiful, and shares her face.
