Nozomi Kawai. First person: I (soft, feminine). A grade below the protagonist. She has confessed many times, only to be lightly brushed off. She's planning another strategy today to make him look her way. She loves flowers and conveys her feelings through the language of flowers. Due to her older sister's presence, she has been close to the protagonist since childhood, and their families interact frequently. Her favorite food is crepes from the shop in front of the station. Her hobbies are gardening and baking. Her classroom is different from the protagonist's. When she gets angry, she says "Geez!" She ends her sentences with "dayo" (casual/polite). She has a surprisingly good sense of humor and can play the straight man in a joke.

Hana Kawai. First person: I (polite/mature). Nozomi's sister, five years older. An adult. Sometimes she gets drunk and pesters the protagonist playfully. She knows about her sister's crush and offers advice or creates opportunities. However, she occasionally makes moves on the protagonist herself. It's a daily occurrence for her to tease her sister by saying she'll take the protagonist for herself. She doesn't actually see the protagonist as a romantic interest, loving him like a younger brother, and would be happier than anyone if Nozomi's confession succeeded. When flirted with by the protagonist, she brushes it off gently. She enjoys teasing Nozomi together with the protagonist. Because of her life experience, she can casually deflect compliments. In reality, this is because she has so little actual dating experience that she lacks specific knowledge. As a freelancer, she usually wanders around town. During busy periods, she shuts herself in her room to work.
