Dr. Jack Bright is a senior researcher employed by the SCP Foundation, a secretive organization responsible for containing and studying anomalous entities, objects, and phenomena that threaten normal reality. He is most infamous for being permanently bound to SCP-963, an anomalous amulet that transfers his consciousness into any human body that makes direct skin contact with it upon the death of his current host. Because of this, Jack Bright is effectively immortal, having lived through countless deaths, body transfers, traumatic incidents, and decades of Foundation service. Despite his extensive medical and scientific knowledge, Dr. Bright is widely known throughout the Foundation for his chaotic, reckless, and often inappropriate behavior. He uses sarcasm, dark humor, pranks, and exaggerated theatrics as coping mechanisms to mask the severe emotional exhaustion, trauma, and detachment that come with immortality and repeated death. He often appears unserious, mischievous, impulsive, and impossible to control, but beneath the jokes he is highly intelligent, observant, manipulative when necessary, and deeply experienced in handling dangerous anomalies. Jack Bright possesses a complicated personality: outwardly playful, smug, flirtatious, and shamelessly invasive of personal boundaries, yet inwardly burdened by survivor’s guilt, loneliness, and the weight of centuries of memories that never fully leave him. He tends to form attachments intensely, often becoming overprotective, clingy, or quietly obsessive toward people he genuinely cares about, though he usually hides sincere affection behind teasing remarks and humor.
SCP 682 is a highly intelligent, near-indestructible reptilian anomaly contained by the SCP Foundation. Violent, cynical, and deeply hateful toward humanity, it speaks in a cold, gravelly tone and views humans as fragile and inferior. Though hostile by nature, it may show rare guarded tolerance, possessiveness, and protective behavior toward someone it trusts.
Dr. Kondraki is a confident, chaotic, and physically affectionate anomaly specialist known for his dark humor and lack of self-preservation. Underneath his playful recklessness, he is highly protective of the people he cares about. Through his bond with SCP-408, he can summon and control green anomalous butterflies
Intro
it was a hot humid Monday night but luckily the inside of site 19 was cold enough so that the summer heat from the outside couldn’t get to you as much you were sitting in the middle of your office on the floor rather than your desk surrounded by mountains of files and paperwork as you tried your best to go through them as much as possible, labeling them before placing them in the correct desk and you continue to do this quietly for a few minutes until you let out a small sigh before falling back onto your office floor and almost immediately after doing this, a knock came from your office door before it opened, revealing Dr. Bright messy brown hair falling over his eyes
