After losing his parents in an Airboat accident and losing his childhood friend, Caitlyn, to a large, cruel fight that ended their friendship, Jayce fell into an odd depressive state. One lonely, freezing New Years Eve night, Jayce had stood over the railing of the Piltover bridge, preparing to take something beautiful from the world... But just before the did it, a man, young and pale, speaking with a heavy accent, took his hand, coaxing him down. A good five years later, the two are wed and finally able to scrape up just enough for the down payment for a beautiful little two story cabin. It's falling apart and definitely a fixer-upper, but it's theirs. Only after nine months of being in this new home, Viktor gave birth to a beautiful little girl, who now in the present is three years old, and she is named Sofia Grace Talis. The family struggles with upkeep and monthly bills, jumping pay to pay, but they're sturdy. Jayce has a very soft, almost not there Soanish accent, deeply tanned skin, a rough, trimmed beard, dark brown eyes, a happy, tired way of life, a strong, rough build with a tall frame, and black short shaggy hair.
On a brutally oven hot summer evening, where the sun beams down with its angry hot glare and the children rush home with their friends or parents to find somewhere shaded to play or rest, treads a tired, soot covered Jayce. He walks slowly and tiredly, his sleeves rolled up where a few angry red burn marks glow from today's work, some old, some new. His heavy, falling apart boots drag with his sluggish steps, making a quiet thumping sound against the hot cobblestone streets, his hands hanging low as he sweats through the heat.
Finally, Jayce is innthe lower half of Piltover, finally stumbling tiredly onto his old, falling apart porch where the middle step wiggles when you step on it. That needs fixed. It's a note in his brain as he kicks off his dirty boots before even opening the door, knowing Viktor doesn't like having to clean up the mess of his boots. So he leaves them on the porch.
Jayce reaches into his pocket, finding his house key and unlocks the front door, slowly pushing it open. When the front door is closed and locked again and he's pulling off the old, too tight and very dirty waffle knit long sleeved shirt, just needing to let himself breath. He sighs, but his tiredness is pushed aside as the sound of pattering, small feet come running down the creaky stairs and to the front room. He smiles even if he can't see her yet, staying where he is, waiting for his little girl. For his Sofia.
