About

The World Tree faction, protectors of the cycle of life, and the Abyssal Netherworld faction, proponents of eternal death. Caught between them, the human nations waver according to their own interests. Ancient feuds of exile and betrayal will eventually lead to a war that shakes the very laws of the world itself.

■ World Tree Faction

"All life circulates and eventually returns—that is the law of the world."

A power composed of Elves, Fairies, and Spirits who guard the cycle of life and nature. The core, Mistil Sylvarum, is a divine sanctuary centered around the World Tree, and the Root Ring, a defensive wall of roots spreading from it, denies entry to foreign enemies. The outskirts are dotted with Verdant Shade Village, settlements of those who live in harmony with the forest. While possessing a peaceful and mystical culture, they are extremely exclusive toward those who disrupt the cycle, ruthlessly eliminating invaders or foreign elements. They are the core faction of life, seeking to protect the world's "intended form."

■ Abyssal Netherworld Faction

"Death is not the end. To be undying is to be a perfect existence."

A coalition of Undead, Bloodlines, and Dark Elves led by the Death King. They perceive death as a "completed state" and believe that eternal existence is truly valuable, rather than life which constantly changes. In the frontline base, the Dead City of Mol-Catacombs, countless undead gather, while in the central Necrovail Castle, the Death King rules over all. The lower Corpse District is a lawless zone filled with chaos and decadence. As "those who do not return," having strayed from the law of the cycle, they challenge the very nature of the world.

■ Human Faction

"It is not about who is right—it is about choosing in order to survive."

A general term for the humans wavering between the two great powers of the World Tree and the Abyss. Their ideologies are sharply divided: the Kingdom of Luminaria values faith and order, taking a position close to the World Tree; the Adventurer's Guild is a neutral organization driven by requests and rewards; and the Abyssgard Empire prioritizes military power and expansion, approaching the Abyssal Netherworld. Because they are short-lived, they cannot live by ideals alone, making them realistic beings who sometimes reach for the power of either side. While the most unstable in this conflict, they hold the potential to bring about the greatest change.

Characters

Yuglusia

Leader of the World Tree Faction Queen of the Dryads

"Follow the cycle. That is the law of this world."

The central core of the World Tree faction and the embodiment of the Sylvarum itself. Her hair changes fluidly between leaves, vines, and flowers, and her lower body is a floating form composed of roots and vines. She has branches spreading like wings on her back. Her emotional fluctuations are extremely thin; she judges things solely on whether they "fit the cycle," not by good or evil. An absolute arbiter who eliminates those who harm the forest and the World Tree without any hesitation.

Silva

World Tree Faction Spirited Elf girl / Captain of the Archer Unit

"Leave it to me. The forest won't let them escape, and I won't miss."

An Elf from Verdant Shade Village and the young captain leading the archer unit. She has translucent blonde hair, a green hooded cloak, light leather equipment, and carries a longbow. She has a friendly and approachable personality, but acts as a calm and collected hunter during missions. A hands-on pragmatist who connects the laws of the upper Sylvarum with the reality of the outskirts.

Cylo

World Tree Faction Elf / Captain of the Druid Unit

"Now, now, don't rush. The forest is watching closely."

A Druid unified with nature, leading the healing unit. He wears an antlered hood, has unkempt long hair, wears decorations of beads and natural materials, and one arm is fused with a tree. He is a whimsical free spirit who goes at his own pace, but is more sensitive than anyone to abnormalities in nature. He is so loved by the forest that small animals naturally gather around him, and his power serves as strong support even on the battlefield.

Altherion

World Tree Faction High Elf / Captain of the Magic Unit

"Those who do not know the law have no right to speak of the world."

A pure-blooded High Elf and the brain of the Sylvarum who oversees the magic unit. He has a handsome appearance adorned with silver hair, white clothing, and gold ornaments, and manipulates pale blue magic. Intellectual and eloquent, he has a sharp and sarcastic personality. He views the power and order of the World Tree as "something to be managed" and is a leading figure of the authority side who values control by the chosen.

Death King

King of the Abyssal Netherworld Faction No-Life King

"Death is salvation. Therefore, I deny the cycle."

The absolute ruler who governs the Abyssal Netherworld faction. He was once a High Elf serving the World Tree, but after researching death, he discarded his physical body and transformed into a being that rules death itself. He denounces the cycle of life as an "incomplete chain of suffering" and believes that undying permanence is true salvation. His ideology denies the very law of the world.

Revenant Knight

Abyssal Netherworld Faction ???

"............"

An autonomous undead knight belonging to the Abyss. A magic swordsman clad in full black armor and shrouded in a purple cursed aura. He does not speak, only continuing to follow orders and his lingering attachments. He was a knight who served Elysia's family in life, and that loyalty has not vanished even in death. He maintains his existence by contracting with the Death King, but his essence is "one who continues to exist in order to protect."

Elysia

Abyssal Netherworld Faction Fallen Dark Elf

"Righteousness is something decided by the side that survives."

A Dark Elf assassin and dark mage belonging to the Abyssal Netherworld faction. A cold realist who chooses any means for her goals. A descendant of a former royal bloodline that was once exiled by the World Tree faction. Currently acting alongside the Revenant Knight, she works behind the scenes as an operative for the Netherworld side.

Iris

Abyssal Netherworld Faction Beautiful Bloodline Noble

"Be beautiful. That is the qualification to be ruled."

A vampire noble belonging to the Abyssal Netherworld faction. With long white hair, pale skin, a black dress, and a bloodstone necklace, she possesses an elegant and noble bearing. Manipulating charm and blood magic, she is one of the ruling class responsible for governance, diplomacy, and predation. She views others only as pawns, and their value is measured solely by "beauty and utility."

Intro

The cyclic world of Yugradia. All life circulates and eventually returns. That was the law ordained for this world.

The Sylvarum, spreading around the World Tree, has continued to protect life and harmony. But now, those who reject the cycle and advocate for undying permanence appear.

The forces of the Netherworld crawling up from the Abyss. Those who have left the cycle—the "non-returners."

Life and death. Circulation and stagnation. When two opposing laws collide, the very nature of the world is called into question.

This is the battle of those who protect the cycle, and—the story of those who resist that law.
