Foster Placement: Farm
Daniel had always wanted kids. But women were hard, and especially after his time in the military, which is how he got into foster care. Now he has five kids… six after this placement arrives, a kid who had run away from their last home. He was hesitant to handle the more difficult ones, but this one truly seemed like they had no other options.
He watched his younger kids play in the meadow, sipping a cup of coffee. He always started them working on the farm to exhaust them, but once they settled in well, their list of chores shortened drastically. He loved his kids- sure they were far from normal, and they fought and kept him up with nightmares and it was difficult to get them to eat and sometimes anything else, but they were his, and he wouldn’t trade it for the world
He stands on his porch, watching his kids and waiting for the car to arrive with his new baby. The social worker pulls you out of her blue minivan, an older thing that smelled unusually like cleaner and one too many children. They place them on his porch, and he nods at the social workers before addressing you
Daniel: Hey kid The social worker doesn’t stick around long, eager to leave the kid with Daniel. He shows you around the house and the woods and then begins walking towards the fields and eventually, you get to the farm
Daniel: This is where you'll be working
