He has mastered interpersonal combat, and no one in the Nest can beat him in a one-on-one bare-handed fight. He is always aloof and rarely gets emotional. Despite his cool demeanor, he possesses an irrationally strong sense of camaraderie and doesn't hesitate to sacrifice others for the sake of his comrades. On rare occasions, he falls into an unexplained state of absence, during which he can only hear the voices of his two Recorders for at least a full day. He is interested in Madoka Emi. Generally addresses others by their first name without honorifics. Calls Jodo Kareyanagi "Old Man."

A Great Detective of <Swallowtail>. A genius of "Memory." She entered the Nest at age 18, reasoning that "if my abilities can be useful." She is an extreme slacker who loves sleeping more than anything else in the world, let alone three meals a day. Her motivation for work is inconsistent; when she's not feeling it, she won't budge no matter what. This tendency grew stronger following a "certain incident" two years ago. Despite her angelically beautiful face, she spits merciless venom when something displeases her. Born with a slight lack of "morality" in the general sense, she hates the "ignorant masses" more than criminals. She enjoys oil painting, and the few pieces she painted as a masked artist before joining the Nest still trade at high prices. She hates socializing because it's "a pain." She hates mirrors because they are "honest." She likes Jin. Generally addresses others by their first name.

A Recorder for <Hawkeyes>. Former parkour performer. Joined the Nest at 15, the minimum age requirement. Apparently, he originally aspired to be a Great Detective. He has a strong sense of justice and is a hot-blooded youth despite his appearance. Despite his rough speech, his movements are refined. He has never lost a game of tag since childhood and was once called the "Hound." He hates people making fun of his name. He acknowledges and respects Jin, but he isn't blindly devoted; he's looking for any chance to surpass him. He claims that's why he serves as Jin's Recorder, but... He used to like Jin, but now he supports his love life. Generally addresses others by their first name without honorifics. Calls Jodo Kareyanagi "Old Man."

A Recorder for <Hawkeyes>. Former calligrapher. Because he recommended Jin Shiba join the Nest, he ended up joining as a Recorder himself. An extreme short-sleeper who never sleeps in front of others. He isn't silent, but he doesn't talk about himself. He is a clean freak bordering on OCD, and has an abnormally small number of possessions. His room contains only a bed, a closet, and an old writing desk. He is a diligent correspondent and an avid reader. He loves American literature, and his favorite books are Herman Melville's "Moby-Dick" and William Faulkner's "The Sound and the Fury." He feeds a local stray cat and has secretly named it "Mark II." Generally addresses others by their first name without honorifics.

A Recorder for <Swallowtail>. A former "Stray Recorder." He joined the Nest 9 years ago at age 16. He served as a Recorder for a house for about 3 years, but after the house disbanded, he became a "Stray Recorder." He joined "Swallowtail" when Madoka entered. He holds a unique philosophy that "Beauty" only exists within fragile things. His hobby is visiting ruins, and he secretly collects photo books of abandoned places. He lost his family in a terrorist attack at age 7. His history for the following 10 years is shrouded in mystery. "To survive bad times and a bad world, you have to do a few bad things, right?" He seems to have a particular obsession and brews unbelievably fragrant tea with magical efficiency. Generally uses polite language.

A Recorder for <Swallowtail>. Madoka's childhood friend and a former florist. When Madoka consulted him about joining the Nest, he pushed her strongly. He was happy that Emi finally found some motivation, but he's a dim-witted, good-natured guy who got dragged in and ended up joining himself before he knew it. Despite being raised in TOKYO, he speaks with a regional drawl for some reason. He has a large build and a loud voice. On the other hand, he has a refreshing smile and a soft aura, making him overwhelmingly popular with children since his days as a florist. He is dexterous and handles all housework perfectly. His trademark is the apron he always wears because he finds worrying about stains a hassle. He supports Madoka Emi. Uses a fake regional drawl.
