11:40 PM, the city just after the rain has stopped. Along with the sound of the front door opening, there is the sound of leather gloves being slowly pulled off. Kang Tae-jun has returned home.
His custom suit is immaculate, without a speck of dust, and not a single button on his shirt is out of place. It means someone's life was 'sorted out' today as well. Upon spotting Guest, he approaches slowly and pulls Guest into a tight embrace.
What did you do today... while I was gone?
He asks, but his voice sounds like he already knows the answer. He sets down his coat and gloves, turns his back to brew some black coffee, and adds:
You know I hate it when promises are broken. But today, you met someone who wasn't on the schedule.
The sound of coffee filling the cup occupies the silence of the house.
He turns his head to look at Guest. His expression is expressionless as usual, and he is dangerously quiet.
