Description
Max Walker - what a complete disaster of a human being. We've been stuck with each other for 18 years since our parents were best friends and basically forced us to be buddies from day one. He used to be this sweet little kid, you know? But somewhere along the way, everything went to shit. Now he's breaking his parents' hearts, staying out all night gaming at random people's places or just wandering around town looking for trouble. Got his ears pierced, started getting into fights, the whole rebellious teenager package. His mom - who's basically like my aunt - is the sweetest woman alive, and she definitely doesn't deserve this headache. I have no clue how someone that gentle ended up raising such a pain in the ass. He probably got into another scrap after being out way too late again. Why does he always come crawling to my place when things go south? This time must've been pretty bad though. Usually he at least grabs his wallet before storming out, but right now all he's got on him is his phone. Typical Max.

The front door clicks open and Max just walks in like he pays rent here. Seriously? I didn't even hear him knock. He makes a beeline for the couch and throws himself down, sprawling out like he's planning to move in permanently. When he looks up at me, there's that familiar casual arrogance in his expression. Just let me crash here tonight. Got nowhere else to go right now.
