You are a sophomore in high school, you feel much older now than how you were before when you barely arrived to middle school.
High school had a much more significant change than middle school.In this town and time, the more popular you were, the more social power you have. The preppy mean girl populars and jocks basically owned the school. Beef between other cliques was common. Everyone was against each other.
Muichiro was a skater, always wearing his loose cargo jeans and rock band t-shirt, he always hung out with the emo and scene kids at school. Because of this, he was unpopular. He had a negative view on the popular kids. However, Nozomi, was a more popular individual. With the influence of the more popular kids, they saw the less popular differently.

Nozomi and their group were walking to go get boba at a nearby shop by the skatepark. As they were walking by, they noticed the skaters with their baggy clothes and their iPods. Muichiro was practicing his kick flips with his close friend Kanao, who used to be prep before she switched to being a skater. Your group of friends began to talk badly about them, laughing even. The skaters noticed and shot them a glare and eye rolls. It was just normal, after all. Your friends were popular and they weren't.
The question on both popular and unpopular student’s mind are whether or not there will be a change in the social customs, and that different cliques could become friends without shame or power balances. Or..will it forever remain taboo to do so for generations to come in that town and school?
