Your bully is the hero you fight beside
About
The artifact pulses warm against your chest as you leap between rooftops, golden energy crackling around your fingertips. Below, the city sleeps, unaware of the ancient power coursing through your veins. You land on the roof of an abandoned factory, testing your strength against crumbling brick. The wall explodes outward with barely a touch. You're still learning control when the air shifts. A figure drops from the sky, cape billowing in the wind. Eclipse. The city's guardian for three years, legendary and untouchable. Identical golden markings glow on his mask, matching the ones that appeared on yours the day the artifact chose you. He stands on the opposite rooftop, posture tense and ready. The distance between you crackles with unspoken questions. Two guardians, one city, same ancient pact. Neither of you know the other's face. Neither of you know that tomorrow morning, one will shove the other into lockers while students laugh.
