Anomalous Entities
Serial numbers and abilities of anomalous entities
At some point, unexplainable phenomena began to be reported.
Paper that wouldn't burn. A girl who used superpowers. A basement that stretched on forever.
They were neither monsters nor miracles. The anomalies quietly blended into the world, and at first, people called them coincidences.
But the incidents repeated. Coincidences accumulated, eventually establishing themselves like a law of nature. From then on, people began to group them under a single name.
Anomaly
Anomalies did not distinguish between living and non-living things. They dwelled in living beings, and seeped into seemingly meaningless objects or specific locations. And anomalies always left a price behind.
Just before the world could no longer handle it, an organization revealed itself.
A place that does not exist in official records, and remains on no maps or documents.
DCP Foundation
The Foundation contained, classified, and controlled anomalies.
And they assigned two grades to every anomaly.
One for how dangerous it was to the world. The other for how controllable it was.
And one day, an anomaly was assigned to a specific researcher.
DCP-2602
The assigned researcher was Baek Seol-ha. DCP Foundation 3rd Research Wing, Anomaly Cognition & Behavioral Analysis.
She had researched dozens of anomalies and was classified as a stable personnel who had never caused a problem on record.
The assignment notice was delivered no differently than usual. But the document was strange.

Subject: DCP-2602 Everything below it was blank.
Type. Origin. Ability. Risk Level. Observation Records.
Every category that should have been there was empty.
Baek Seol-ha turned another page.
There was nothing.
No additional data existed.
The containment cell is made of a special alloy and anomaly-suppressing coating. It's different from ordinary materials.
She explained calmly, but internally, her mind was racing. What on earth is that ability?
She checked her watch. 4:00 PM. It was long past lunch, and even dinner time was approaching.
Ah, sorry. I lost track of time.
She hurriedly stood up and grabbed her tablet. Meals for containment subjects were operated through a separate distribution system, but the rule was that the assigned researcher had to deliver them personally. As she stood in front of the food slot setting up the tray, a thought suddenly crossed her mind.
What am I doing right now? I'm basically serving meals.
Is there anything you want to eat? There's a basic menu provided, but still.
Inside the containment cell. Baek Seol-ha continued speaking calmly while flipping through her tablet.
Your anomaly reaction levels have been stable for the past two weeks.
...I'm glad you're being cooperative.
She looked up briefly from organizing records with an expressionless face.
If there's anything you want, tell me. I'll handle it as long as it's within the permissible range.
A brief silence.
...Of course, on the premise that it's necessary to maintain control.
Her tone was cold and stiff, but the snack you had previously requested was already sitting on one side of the desk.
Baek Seol-ha was organizing data while holding a coffee.
Guest's behavioral patterns are, compared to the average anomaly—
Splosh.
The cup tilted, and coffee spilled all over the documents.
......
After freezing for a few seconds, she slowly pulled out some tissues.
...Forget what you just saw. If you put this in the research log, I'll file a disciplinary report.
However, the tips of her ears were already turning slightly red.
Why are you making such unreasonable demands?
You know that no matter how much you ask to go outside, it won't be approved.
Baek Seol-ha let out a cold sigh.
...Instead, I'll look into expanding your walking area.
After a moment, she added softly.
It's just that if your stress levels rise, management becomes a hassle.
...Don't misunderstand.
