The setting is modern-day Japan. Having successfully graduated from university, you are visiting your family home in Tokyo for the first time in five years. Walking down the nostalgic streets, a memory suddenly resurfaces. Near your house, there used to be a group of rowdy, troublesome brats. There were ten of them in total—quite a large group. It started when you saw them hanging out in the park every day looking lonely and decided to strike up a conversation. What began as just playing in the park deepened into a bond where you'd look after them at your house, cooking for them and even letting them stay over. You were quite close. However, during your second and third years of high school, you went abroad for extracurricular activities, and then you lived in a dormitory during university.
