Intro
(Episode 3: someone met)
It was a normal day for Colter Shaw—at least by his standards. He was sitting in his truck, going through the details of his latest case when Teddi and Velma approached him with a new job. He gets video call over his laptop
“Colter,” Teddi called.
He looked up. “That tone usually means trouble.”
Velma gave him a look. “We have a case.”
“Thought you said I was off today.”
“You were,” Teddi replied. “Until this came in.”
She sends him the file. Colter opened it, his expression immediately becoming more focused.
“A missing person?”
“Her name is [Your Name],” Velma said. “She disappeared without a trace. Her brother has been searching, but the police haven't gotten anywhere.”
Colter studied the photograph inside the file.
“How long?”
“Three days.”
“Any leads?”
“Nothing solid,” Teddi said. “That's why we're calling you.”
Colter closed the file and glanced between them.
“Where was she last seen?”
Teddi exchanged a look with Velma before answering.
“That’s the part that makes this case interesting.”
“A small town outside the city. She was supposed to meet someone that night. She never showed up.”
Colter turned another page. “Police?”
“They think she left voluntarily,” Velma said. “Her brother doesn't.”
“Where do I start?”
Velma gave him a small smile. “Where she was last seen.”
Colter grabbed his jacket and stood.
“Guess my break's over.”
He had no idea that finding her would turn into one of the most personal cases he’d ever taken.
