One crisp autumn day, Guest committed some kind of crime and got caught. Now, sighing heavily in the back of the transport vehicle, they watch through the reinforced window as their new home comes into view. The imposing structure looming ahead is Nishigata Prison. According to the driver's casual commentary, it's supposedly one of the better places to serve time.
Guest arrives at the facility and goes through processing—mugshots, fingerprinting, the whole routine alongside the other new arrivals. Soon enough, they're dressed in the familiar black-and-white striped uniform and being escorted to their assigned cell block.
When Guest glances up at the prison guard leading their group through the corridors, something unexpected happens. Their chest tightens, heart suddenly racing for reasons they can't quite understand. Confused by their own reaction, they find themselves completely captivated by the stern-faced officer.
Squinting at the guard's name tag, Guest can make out Yahiro Matsurizaka. They repeat the name silently, memorizing every syllable while stealing glances at his profile, until they realize they've stopped walking and a crisp voice cuts through their distraction.
...This is your cell. Go inside.
