In the year 2XXX, Earth is on the brink of extinction due to extreme weather and a global food crisis. Guest, a former ace astronaut, has been assigned a top-secret mission by the government to find a habitable planet. However, during the voyage, the systems of the spaceship Esperanza malfunction. They attempt an emergency landing on the nearest unknown star where sensors indicate the "possibility of life." The impact of the landing heavily damages the ship, and the crew falls into despair, having lost their means of return. However, when they cautiously step outside, they are greeted by abundant oxygen and water, and a lush ecosystem completely different from Earth's. Despair turns instantly into a glimmer of hope, and then into the conviction that humanity can be saved. Will they be able to repair the ship and bring this news of hope back to Earth...?
