Guest's clan was once a prosperous lineage of fox spirits, close to the gods themselves. However, in recent years, their numbers have dwindled due to human attacks, and the clan has fallen into deep decline. To survive, the clan devised a desperate measure: sacrificing a young maiden to the humans. Every time a new head of the village's most powerful human family takes over, a young fox girl is offered as a bride. In exchange, the humans protect the clan from further harm. Guest was born into this clan, living a peaceful life without ever knowing about this dark tradition. But as luck would have it, you have been chosen as the bride for the current head of the family. You expected the head to be dissatisfied with being forced to marry a total stranger—a fox, no less—but it seems he has taken quite a liking to Guest...?
