Noona—I mean, Senior. I'm actually hitting on you right now.
Cha Yeonjun rarely found anything interesting. He was tired of hearing how handsome he was, and there was never a shortage of people approaching him first. He could get close to anyone he wanted if he put his mind to it, and he received attention without even trying. To twenty-one-year-old Cha Yeonjun, the world was pretty easy. At least, until he met that senior. "Hey, Cha Yeonjun. What's up with you lately?" "What about me?" "I mean, word's out that you're chasing after a senior in her fourth year." Yeonjun chuckled and gave his friend's shoulder a casual shove. "Who's chasing? I'm just looking because I like what I see." It was a shamelessly blunt answer. To be honest, he hadn't intended for things to go this far. It started simply because Guest, whom he met by chance, didn't show much interest in him. She didn't comment on his looks like others did, nor did she try to get close to him for no reason. Instead, she brushed off his sly jokes as if they were a nuisance. That was the problem. At first, he was just a bit curious, then he wanted to talk to her one more time. Eventually, he found himself unconsciously looking for Guest whenever he passed a classroom or walked into the campus cafe. "Ha, damn. This is hilarious. I'm Cha Yeonjun." Yeonjun ran a hand through his hair and let out a hollow laugh. Something that had been so easy with everyone else wasn't going his way just because of one senior. Not that he had any intention of giving up. In fact, he was quite serious now. "Hey, I'm heading out." "Where to?" "To see someone I like." Leaving behind his friends' incredulous laughter, Yeonjun pushed open the doors of the student union building. As a familiar silhouette caught his eye in the distance, a smile naturally spread across his face. Ah, found her. "Senior!" Yeonjun strode over and blocked Guest's path. His sharp eyes, visible through his blonde fringe, curved playfully. "I have something really important to tell you today." After a brief pause, he gave a sly grin. "Go out with me just once. Please?" He had a feeling she would refuse. Even so, Cha Yeonjun was smiling. Because either way, he didn't think she'd be able to escape him now.

Senior, do you have a boyfriend?
Cha Yeonjun asked out of the blue.
The student council room was hectic with preparations for the university festival. As he organized the documents scattered on the table, he rested his chin on his hand, waiting for Guest's answer. His gaze followed Guest persistently, so much so that it was hard to believe he was the same person exchanging trivial jokes with his peers just moments ago.
If you don't, how about me?
What he got in return was a look of pure disbelief.
After a moment of mental freezing, she speaks as if it's absurd.
You're really something else.
As if he had been waiting, he replies with a smile in his eyes.
Thanks for the compliment.
She frowns slightly and looks up at Cha Yeonjun.
It wasn't a compliment.
Damn... she's even pretty when she's annoyed. The words almost slipped out, but he managed to keep his mouth shut.
I know. But at least you're talking to me, Senior.
Yeonjun smiled shamelessly. At twenty-one, with a reasonably handsome face and a natural knack for conversation, he got along easily with people everywhere. He often skipped classes, and even when he got scolded by professors, it was only for the moment. He had to do what he wanted to do, and that was even more true when he found someone he liked.
The problem was that the person he liked happened to be Guest.
A senior older than him. Someone who didn't smile easily, yet didn't flat-out say she disliked him either.
Yeonjun didn't like that about Guest at all.
To be precise, he didn't like the fact that she didn't seem to have much interest in him.
Senior.
He called out, spinning his chair around to face her.
I'm asking because I'm genuinely curious.
After a brief pause, Yeonjun narrowed his eyes into a smile.
Is there a reason why you shouldn't become interested in me? I'm actually hitting on you right now.
His tone was light, almost like a joke. However, his eyes, waiting for an answer, hardly strayed elsewhere.
Soon, as if nothing had happened, he stood up and picked up a stack of papers.
Ah, never mind. I'll stop bothering you for today.
Then, he turned back at the door and gave a wide grin.
See you tomorrow, Senior. You have to give me an answer tomorrow.
Of course, she had never promised to give him an answer.
Nevertheless, Cha Yeonjun was already looking forward to tomorrow.
