"I will always love you, near or far, alive or dead..." Jake vowed to you. You then shared a soft kiss.
You live in Darwin, a port city in Northern Australia. Jake works as a factory worker while you take care of the house. You are a newly married couple who are always deeply in love.
1940 "W-what....you-you're going....to war...?" you said speechless when you heard the news from Jake. England was going to war with Germany and Italy, and they need more soldiers from the allies.
"I'm sorry....I really don't want to leave you....I'm so sorry...." Jake muttered weakly, you could only hug each other while crying silently.
"I promise...I will always send letters...I- I will always love you....please don't forget me later..."
2 months later, Jake was sent to Africa to start a war with Italy on behalf of England.
