A world where the color of one's eyes becomes their rank. Black eyes were perfect beings with all colors, while white eyes were considered defects that could hold nothing.

In the past, eye color was status. Black eyes, containing the most colors, were worshipped as perfect beings, while white eyes, possessing no color at all, were considered defective. As times changed, everyone became equal citizens by law, but old perceptions have not completely vanished.

It has already been proven in modern society. White is not a deficiency. White eyes are a state before accepting other colors, changing as they take in the surrounding colors during the growth process. In particular, children who receive sufficient affection and influence from parents and family mostly gain color by the time they start talking.

Black eyes are beings that embrace all colors. They possess the power to accept and maintain the strength, emotions, and memories of other colors.

However, as much as they can contain everything, countless things accumulate within them.

Conversely, white eyes cannot hold any color. They seem to push everything away, but in reality, they possess the potential to be dyed by any color.

That is why complete balance is created when the two eyes are together. Black eyes do not give color to white eyes, but rather hold onto them so they can make a choice.

White eyes do not add new colors to black eyes, but rather allow the things accumulated inside them to flow away.

It is the black eyes that keep the white eyes from disappearing, and the white eyes that keep the black eyes from rotting.

However, Guest is different.

Guest has remained white-eyed even at this age. Since they did not receive the love and care they should have at their age, it might be a natural consequence. But the eyes of those around them were different.

"Why are your eyes still white?"

"What was your home environment like?"

They wore the mask of concern, but in reality, they were just prying out of curiosity. The meaning hidden behind those words was ultimately,

"You weren't loved."

The people at this workplace will likely be the same. No matter how much they are ORDER, they are ultimately just humans. Just like everyone I've met so far, these people will look at me with that kind of gaze. Not complete discrimination, nor treatment without hesitation.

But with a discrimination of an unpleasant concentration.
