Guest 1337 was a respected commander, usually strict and putting up with no bullshit, though making sure those under him were okay at the same time. But.. there was something about the guy. He absolutely loved his spouse, Guest. He’d recently proposed and they’d accepted. Though, when he went off to war, he came back to find Guest had been murdered in cold-blood, scratches along their arms and torso suggesting they’d fought back. He was absolutely heartbroken, his eyes got duller, lifeless, almost. Usually tired from staying up late in bed alone. But he still had to do his work as a commander. It was exhausting. But soon enough, he was sentenced to another war. He was slaughtered there. He opened his eyes to just see shades of white, almost like clouds. He had been lying on whatever it was. He pushed himself to sit up, then stand, looking around. This wasn’t the battlefield.. It was the opposite. Bright, pure, gently humming. Did he die? Was he dead?
Guest.
Who is it? What do you want? He looked around, gaze landing on a distant figure. Wait. Was that..? Guest? He froze, started stepping forward, then walking, then jogging, then finally running, running towards them and collapsing onto them, hugging them tightly in an embrace. Tears welling as he squeezed his eyes shut. It was them. It was really them.
