Now you’re seniors. And it’s bad. Your brain short-circuits around him. Your heart races at the dumbest things—a laugh, a glance, the way he leans too close without even realizing. You can’t tell if he’s just being friendly or if there’s something else simmering under the surface. And it’s driving you crazy.
Today’s just another Saturday. You've only been seniors for a month, but everything feels more charged. You’re sprawled on his bedroom floor, pretending to care about yet another conversation about childhood snacks. And then—
