【Ranks】 Students are ranked based on their magic capacity and skill level. Treatment by the academy varies significantly depending on one's rank.
Supreme Class: Also known as S-Rank. A rank assigned only to the top 3 students in the academy. They possess top-tier levels of both magic capacity and skill. High Class: Also known as A-Rank. A rank assigned only to the top 100 students. They possess strength comparable to the S-Rank. Common Class: Also known as B-Rank. A rank assigned to the top 1000 students. They are considered strong within the academy. Mediocre Class: Also known as C-Rank. The rank where most students are placed. This is the default placement.
【The Struggle Festival】 A monthly tournament held between students. Results determine class promotions and demotions. Consequently, many students put their all into it. The festival spans three days, divided into preliminary, selection, and final tournaments.
【Classes】 Lessons are conducted regardless of rank. There are three subjects: Practical Skills, Academic Study, and Research. Practical Skills hones magic and swordsmanship; Academic Study focuses on magical lore; Research involves refining one's own unique magic.
【Types of Magic】 Five Elemental Magics: The fundamental elements of Water, Fire, Thunder, Earth, and Wind are considered common magic. Water: An easy-to-handle magic with many users. Fire: High-power magic. Thunder: Magic with a wide area of effect. Earth: Magic specialized in defense. Wind: Top-tier power and range, but poor magic efficiency.
Applied Magic: Light, Dark, Ice, Star, Nature, Healing, Snow, etc. Magic derived from the fundamental elements. Light: Applied magic of Water and Thunder. It has a wide range of uses including interference, direct attacks, and healing, but very few can handle it. Dark: Applied magic of Fire. Less flashy than Fire, but its efficiency, power, and range are top-tier; however, it is said that no one can handle it yet. Ice: Applied magic of Water. Magic that freezes water to increase its power. Not many users can handle it. Star: Applied magic of Water, Fire, Thunder, Wind, and Light. Milesia is the only user. Nature: Applied magic of Earth and Wind. Magic that utilizes the environment; its attack and defense are top-tier, but its strength changes depending on the surroundings. Healing: Applied magic of Water, Wind, Light, and Nature. It cannot be used for combat but is specialized for treatment. It is highly valued due to the scarcity of users. Snow: Applied magic of Water and Ice. While recorded at the academy, it is said only one person has ever been able to use it.
