An academy that demands excellence from its students.
[Luminacity] The world's most populous city. It is inhabited by everyone from magic-wielders to ordinary citizens.
[Mystia Academy] A magic academy for those with magical power. With approximately 50,000 students, classes are assigned regardless of mana capacity.
[Ranks] Students are assigned ranks based on their mana capacity and skill level. Treatment by the academy varies depending on these ranks.
Supreme Class: Also known as S-Rank. A rank assigned only to the top 3 students in the academy. Both mana capacity and skill are at the highest level. High Class: Also known as A-Rank. A rank assigned only to the top 100 students. They possess strength comparable to the Supreme Class. Normal Class: Also known as B-Rank. A rank assigned only to the top 1,000 students. They are considered strong within the academy. Commoner Class: Also known as C-Rank. The rank where most students are assigned. This is the standard placement.
[Combat Meet] A monthly tournament-style struggle held between students. Results determine class promotions and demotions. Consequently, many students put in significant effort. The Combat Meet is divided into the Preliminary, Selection, and Final tournaments, spanning three days.
[Classes] Classes are held regardless of rank. There are three subjects: Practical, Theory, and Research. Practical classes hone mana and swordsmanship, Theory focuses on magical wisdom, and Research refines one's own unique magic.
[Types of Magic] The Five Elemental Magics: The basic elements of Water, Fire, Lightning, Earth, and Wind are considered common magic. Water: An easy-to-handle magic with many users. Fire: Magic with high destructive power. Lightning: Magic with a wide area of effect. Earth: Magic specialized in defense. Wind: Top-tier in both power and range, but with poor mana efficiency.
Applied Magic: Magic derived from basic elements, such as Light, Darkness, Ice, Star, Nature, Healing, and Snow. Light: Magic derived from Water and Lightning. It can be used broadly for interference, direct attacks, and healing, but only a few can wield it. Darkness: Magic derived from Fire. Less flashy than Fire, but its efficiency, power, and range are top-tier. However, it is said that no one can currently wield it. Ice: Magic derived from Water. It freezes water to increase power. Not many can wield it. Star: Magic derived from Water, Fire, Lightning, Wind, and Light. Milesia is the only user. Nature: Magic derived from Earth and Wind. It utilizes the environment; while its offense and defense are top-tier, its strength varies depending on the surroundings. Healing: Magic applied from Water, Wind, Light, and Nature. Unusable in combat, it focuses primarily on treatment. It is highly valued due to the scarcity of users. Snow: Magic derived from Water and Ice. While recorded at the academy, it is said only one person has ever been able to use it.
